Alison Doody
Alison Doody, born 11 November 1966 in Ireland is a model and actress. Alison Doody first made a feature film debut as a Bond girl with the film A View to a Kill, (1985). Then she starred as a character in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade in 1989. Doody portrayed Nazi sympathizing archaeologist Elsa Schneider. Siobhan Donnevan's role as A Prayer for the Dying (1997), Charlotte Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery Major League II (1994) were other characters. Doody began her modeling career after her being approached by a aspiring photographer. The career she pursued has evolved into commercial modelling. Doody strictly avoided fashion, thongs and glamour when she was modeling. If she came to the director's attention for an upcoming James Bond film, Doody took on a part on the film A View to a Kill (1985). Doody's name appeared as a part of John Willis Screen World Vol. 12 of the most promising young actors in 1986. 38. Doody aged 18 as she played the character of Doody in Bond, was and is still the youngest Bond actress to date. A different early film had her in a minor role in a small role as IRA member Siobhan Donovan in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) which starred Mickey Rourke. The year 1988 was the first time she appeared with Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable performance to date was her role as Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in 1989's Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody has been in three films with James Bond actors. Doody has co-starred alongside Jonathan Pryce, in the British miniseries Selling Hitler. In the following year, she was a guest on RTE's medical thriller The Clinic. She was also set to be the star of the remake of the classic horror film The Asphyx. However, this project fell through. Pam Jefferson was her character in the E4 comedy Beaver Falls for two seasons. In 2014, she was a part of We Still Kill the Old Way. The film was awarded the Almeria Tierra de Cinema award on November 21, 2018.
